In 2017, SMIITY reached several national municipalities in Alentejo, Douro, Beira Alta, Beira Litoral and even Madeira Island. Throughout the country it is possible to discover points of interest and local information using SMIITY.
We have continuously enriched the application with numerous content throughout the country such as Blue Flag beaches; new trails that include the Churches or the 28 streetcar route in Lisbon; and also National Parks and monuments classified as National Monuments and / or UNESCO World Heritage have won their space in SMIITY.
We broke barriers and pioneered the introduction of augmented reality and integration with Beacons in a smart tourism app. We developed and applied a text-to-speech tool that makes SMIITY more comprehensive, allowing blind users to use the application in its entirety and without any constraints.
We were again present at the Web Summit and proved that Portugal has cutting edge technology, but also unique. We created partnerships and reached more users.
Together we made SMIITY grow. And we will continue to do so in 2018!
