SMIITY has new search features, namely on the map. The user can now choose what is, for him, the best way: Augmented Reality, category filters, card navigation or in-map navigation.
In the case of Augmented Reality, the user can activate this feature of SMIITY AR by selecting the AR+ button in the upper right corner of the screen. Once selected, the smartphone’s camera opens and by pointing it around, the user will see the total points of interest around them within a half-mile radius. To help with orientation there is a compass in the upper left corner of the screen.
If you are interested in a specific category, you can use the filters instead. Just open the map, click on the funnel icon in the upper right corner, and choose one or several search categories, such as Museums, Monuments, Castles and Forts, Accommodation, and others. After choosing and saving the desired filters, the map will display only points of interest corresponding to the categories selected by the user.
In addition to these options, SMIITY now allows you to search for points of interest… by cards! By clicking on the List icon (the last one in the upper right corner of the map), the user can navigate between points of interest in the city he/she is in through cards, with an image and a pre-description of the available POIs. By pressing one of these cards, you will have access to the complete information of each point of interest.
Finally, if you prefer a more “traditional” search, there is nothing like browsing the map and unlocking the POIs that are not visible by touching an empty area of the map. Soon other points of interest will appear ready to explore!
The new version of SMIITY, which includes SMIITY AR, can now be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
