Now there is an app that does it for you, SMIITY, which, through a partnership with the Stars and Hedgehogs tour, will give you all the information you need with the homonymous tour.
Plays, thematic fairs, children’s cinema sessions, workshops for the younger ones, discounts, promotions and walking tours are some of the options available in SMIITY, the free app compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices, which promises to make family programmes more dynamic and interactive.
Through iBeacon technology, small signal emitters that send contextual and useful information to the user, parents will receive notifications when they pass near a place where there is an activity. For example, if you are in Lisbon and want to go to a garden with a children’s playground, just open the map and see which ones are closest to your location.
If you prefer outdoor family activities and getting to know a new city on foot, SMIITY is also your best friend. This is because it provides routes, with different levels of difficulty, so you can adapt the tour to your pace and the kids that accompany you.
